Hi, it's Ralph this time. Last December Sandra got painted gold, like in the James Bond movie "Goldfinger." I want to share the pictures with you and tell you about it.

A brief introduction is necessary: We have a friend Klecks whom we met via email who is a passionate bodypainter. He had offered to paint Sandra at some appropriate opportunity.

That opportunity came up at the 2nd Werkstatt get-together. He called Sandra and suggested that he bodypaint her for the event. It worked very well, people standing in her immediate vicinity didn't even notice that she was rather naked under her jacket.

Shortly thereafter a friend of our bodypainting friend sent us an email. He (Walter) had seen pix of Sandra in the Ulm Fotoclub and had heard via our common friend that she is also a model and open to most anything. His net alias is "Goldfinger" and he had already painted tons of girls. He invited us to come to his studio in Dortmund, which we did, just prior to Christmas 1998.

Immediately upon arriving we knew that working with Walter would be great. First off, we spent some time in his kitchen drinking champagne and he explained some details about what was going to take place. This was all new for us, Sandra had no idea what was about to happen to her.

After making some kickoff pictures he oiled Sandra down from head to toe with olive oil. That protects the skin but also makes it much easier to wash the gold paint off afterwards. Then he began actually painting her.

The whole operation took quite awhile, several hours. Throughout the entire time Sandra could hardly move, and when then with utmost caution. The usage of the oil has the negative effect that the paint doesn't really stick to the skin and the slightest rub lets the skin show through again, recovering retouching.

I tried to filme the entire event on video, Walter gave me his video camera and showed me how to use it. He had quite a bit of gold paint all over his hands and didn't want to mess the camera up. I attempted to switch back and forth between the video and my own digital camera, which resulted in my being somewhat less concentrated than usual, my pictures aren't as good as I would have liked. And the reflections from the gold upset the digital camera occasionally.

It's truly breathtaking to watch a naked female body gradually disappear behind a wall of gold. It's almost as though her femininity is being imprisoned, piece by piece, until she disappears. I would never have thought that this experience would impress me as much as it did, it is truly erotic in a strange way.

After several hours it was done, Sandra was completely imprisoned in gold. That was the feeling we had, really, after watching each step of the process. Not a single spot (really!) was left untouched, everything, really everything, on Sandra was gold. She looked at us with those piercing but now imprisoned eyes through the gold.

We took a brief break. Sandra of course couldn't relax much, she couldn't move from the spot, remained on the protective plastic sheet. She wasn't even allowed a cigarette.

Then we made quite a few pictures. First simple pictures of Sandra in this state, then more pictures with various alterations on the theme. Walter had lots of ideas and also the necessary accessoires for making interesting pictures. I spent most of my time on the video camera and didn't make many pictures at this time.

I liked the pictures he made of Sandra in golden chains. I made one or two myself, but they aren't all that good. Walter has more, the scans aren't available yet.

Although one is sometimes uncertain when viewing the pictures, Sandra remained fully naked throughout the operation. Some pictures look as though she might have been wearing panties but this was not the case.

Often gold ran into Sandra's eyes, we had to pause briefly with the pictures and wash her eyes out. She couldn't touch anything, if even her arm brushed her body then some skin showed through again and retouching was necessary. It isn't possible to go shopping or anything while covered with gold paint.

We received an email just a few days ago from someone who wanted to be painted gold with Sandra and then walk through town. We tried to explain to him that even though this fantasy sounds interesting, it isn't practical (unless you leave off the oil and paint your skin really tight gold, after which you won't be able to get the paint off for a week or so).

In the picture of the right (view it in full size) it's easy to ascertain that Sandra was really gold all over (g)!

After we finished taking pictures Sandra got into the tub. It was something of a circus just getting her throught the apartment without gold-plating everything on the way. Then things went rather quickly, due to the oil it was easy for her to was the gold paint off. At first she stood in the bathtub looking like a robot from a science fiction movie, then the color left her, bit by bit, until that lovely female body was back into full view.

Actually, the story ends here. But Walter proved to be very generous and invited us out for supper. We let the day trail off while eating a Jugoslavian meal together and chatting about other projects which interested us. Then we drove back to Frankfurt.

The whole event turned out to be much more interesting and intense than we had imagined. If you haven't experienced something like this live then you will certainly wonder what can be exciting about it. But we found that it is much different than expected and not comparable to straightforward bodypainting, foto sessions or anything else.
